PROJECT
Located within a hotel, The Public Sports Lounge was designed as a contemporary social hub where sport, hospitality and nightlife come together in a single atmosphere. Rather than approaching the project as a conventional sports bar, the design focuses on creating a layered guest experience that complements the hotel environment. The spatial organization brings together a central bar, communal tables, lounge seating, dart areas and more intimate gathering zones, allowing the venue to adapt naturally to different moments of the day. Exposed brick, dark metal structures and graphic wall art establish a strong industrial character, while deep green upholstery, warm timber tones and carefully controlled lighting add comfort and refinement. Red linear lighting becomes one of the defining elements of the space, reinforcing the energetic identity of the lounge and creating a more dramatic atmosphere during evening hours. Multiple sports screens are integrated throughout the interior to maintain clear visibility from different seating zones without allowing technology to dominate the architecture. The result is a space where sport remains central to the experience, while the interior still feels considered, sophisticated and connected to the wider identity of the hotel. At the heart of the project, the main bar acts as the social anchor of the lounge. Different seating typologies around it support everything from casual drinks and dining to match-day gatherings and late-night socializing. The Public Sports Lounge brings together sports culture, hospitality and interior design in a bold but balanced environment, creating a destination within the hotel rather than simply an additional amenity.
